The splendid original sitting room has big sofas, wood-burning stove, a retro sound system which will nevertheless stream your music via bluetooth, and of course another Sky Sports-enabled TV in case there is disagreement about viewing choices.
Next door is the snug, which has a delightful outlook and has been fitted with a stylish flueless gas fire for the chillier months.
There are also board games and a good-sized library for browsing, both in the sitting room and the kitchen.
